Connoquenessing Watershed Alliance

The Connoquenessing watershed contains more than 1600 miles of streams which drain about 840 square miles.  Most of the watershed is in Butler County Pennsylvania but it also includes parts of neighboring Allegheny, Beaver, Lawrence, Mercer and Venango counties.  For our purposes, we customarily divide the watershed into three main subwatersheds:

The Connoquenessing Creek subswatershed (essentially the southern half of the main watershed)

The Slippery Rock Creek subwatershed to the north and

bullet

The Muddy Creek subwatershed, most of which lies in Moraine State Park.
